Full transcript of Dr. Tutt: Graves Gilbert has a full-service Radiology department. We offer conventional x-rays, cat scans, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine testing, mammography, bone density.
We have state-of-the-art equipment in our Nashville Road facility we have purchased a larger bore MRI and if any of our patients have had an MRI before they know that they will go into sort of a tunnel to have their images made and that can be claustrophobic for some patients and they may need medication, but what we've found with the wide bore is patients are able to tolerate it much better.
We've also gone a step further at our Nashville Road facility. We have clouds in the sky on the ceiling and it really is a soothing effect when the patient lays down that's the first thing they see and that has helped as well.
We do have the state-of-the-art imaging software and coils for the MRI. We have state-of-the-art CT scanner of course the breast tomosynthesis is cutting-edge and all of our other equipment we make sure that it's up to date and we're offering the latest available.
We want the patients to feel comfortable that they know what they're getting and not be surprised that, oh you didn't tell me this and I think our staff is very good at making sure that doesn't happen.
