Orthopedic surgeon Phil Berry, Jr., MD, is a familiar face in the halls of Methodist Dallas. Besides being a well-known surgeon who’s operated on high profile patients, he’s a transplant survivor and advocate, and a founder of CareFlite. But on Tuesday, Aug. 9, he surpassed even his own expectation performing his 1,000th hip replacement using the anterior approach.
